1. Rental Agreement

By renting a vehicle from Chalo, you agree to these terms and conditions. The rental agreement becomes effective upon confirmation of your booking and remains in effect until the vehicle is returned and all obligations are fulfilled.

2. Eligibility Requirements

• For self-drive rentals, you must be at least 21 years old
• You must possess a valid CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card)
• You must have a valid driving license with at least one year of driving experience
• You must provide a security deposit as specified during booking
• You must have a valid credit card or provide alternative payment arrangements

3. Rental Period

The rental period begins at the agreed pickup time and ends when the vehicle is returned. Late returns may incur additional charges. Extensions are subject to vehicle availability and must be approved in advance.

4. Payment Terms

• Security deposit is required at the time of rental
• Rental charges are due as per the agreed payment schedule
• Additional charges may apply for fuel, tolls, parking, damages, or violations
• All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise specified in our cancellation policy

5. Vehicle Use

• The vehicle must be used only for legal purposes
• Only authorized drivers may operate the vehicle
• The vehicle must not be used for racing, towing, or commercial purposes without permission
• Smoking and consumption of alcohol or drugs in the vehicle is prohibited
• The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as received, except for normal wear and tear

6. Insurance and Liability

Basic insurance coverage is included with all rentals. This covers standard liability and vehicle damage. Additional comprehensive coverage options are available. You are responsible for any damages, losses, or violations that occur during the rental period beyond what is covered by insurance.

7. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made 48 hours or more before rental start time: Full refund
• Cancellations made 24-48 hours before rental start time: 50% refund
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before rental start time: No refund
• Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days

8. Limitation of Liability

Chalo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our vehicles or services. Our liability is limited to the rental charges paid by the customer.
